Meet Our Staff
Pastor Dae Kim
Pastor Dae is the head pastor for the English Ministry (EM) at GMC. He has been a pastor at GMC for over ten years. He overlooks College, Post-College/Singles, and in charge of the Post-College/Married Couples group.
As a husband and father of three children, Pastor Dae has gone through challenges and successes in his married life. And as he ministers over the newly weds and married couples, he desires to grow with them and guide them to become a godly family.
Pastor Dae has gone to many countries over the past fifteen years and two of his most memorable countries that he visited were Turkey and Russia. In his spare time, he enjoys reading books, watching movies, playing soccer, and spending time with his family and friends. His favorite book is 10 Power Principles for Christian Service by Warren Wiersbe.
Pastor Dae received Bachelor of Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and received his Master of Divinity at Talbot School of Theology.
Pastor Tim Lee
Pastor Tim is the Associate pastor for the English Ministry (EM) and Christian Education Director for the education department (K-12) He has worked with the youth and college students for almost ten years. With his depth of experience in ministry he is able to set up effective policies, guidelines, and visions for education departments.
Pastor Tim enjoys watching sports and spending time with his wife.
Pastor Tim received Bachelor of Science from University of California, Irvine, and Master of Divinity at Talbot School of Theology.
Pastor Wan Cho
Pastor Wan is the Post-College/Singles pastor for the English Ministry (EM) at GMC. His ministry entails working with recent college grads and young professionals. As a young professional himself, Pastor Wan faced various challenges and struggles transitioning from college to post-college life. And as the new college grads and young professionals face similar types of struggles and challenges, Pastor Wan desires to guide, encourage, and instruct them with the Word of God.
Pastor Wan enjoys traveling and has traveled to six of the seven continents around the world. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, working out, and spending time with friends.
He received Bachelor of Science from University of California, Irvine, Master of Business Administration at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills, and currently pursuing Master of Divinity at Talbot School of Theology.
Pastor Kwon Lee
Pastor Kwon is the College pastor for the English Ministry at GMC. His ministry entails working with college students and others in the same age group. Having experience ministering to youth and college students, he firmly believes that what students need is a proper understanding and application of the Gospel in all areas of life. His passion is to mentor young people to live as deeply-rooted disciples of Jesus in a constantly shifting culture.
Pastor Kwon treasures GMC, where he has been a member since 2000. He is an avid reader and enjoys music. He wants to learn to fish to experience one day the satisfaction of eating his own catch.
He received Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles, a Master of Divinity at Talbot School of Theology, and Master of Theology in Old Testament Studies at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
Esther Kim, Small Groups Pastor
Esther Kim is the small groups pastor for the English Ministry. She is currently serving as support staff for the EM Singles’ ministry and working with Small Groups and Small Group leaders.
Her heart is to see transformation in God’s people at GMC. She truly desires to see singles growing in their love and knowledge of God and in their passion for God’s word so that they may become effective witnesses in today’s world. She hopes to use her training from seminary to encourage others in their walk with God.
In her spare time, she enjoys good books, movies, music, art, exercise, and spending time with close friends. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Irvine, and Master of Arts at Talbot School of Theology.
